Holiday Project

I want to share with you a great idea for the holidays! One of our local soup kitchens has asked the community to fill backpacks for the homeless men, women and children who populate our area, and I think this is a terrific idea to give back. They are suggesting these items to fill the backpacks: warm hats, gloves, scarves, socks, sweaters, toiletries, snacks, toys for kids. Maybe a book, crossword puzzles, pens, flashlights ------ the possiblilities are endless!! Your blessed kindness...

The Beth Chamberlin OFC is going to auction one Guiding Light Final Script Episode #15762 that has been autographed by various cast members. The proceeds will be sent to the Riverview Nursery School for their Playground Project.

I am still haunted by the tragic character, Mary, in Robert Newman's excellent play "Sessions". The entire play exposes the multi-layered patients of Robert Newman's psychological practice. Ultimately we learn their strengths as well as weaknesses; and, we learn that the therapist is as flawed as the patient. You Know You're A Cat Lover When...

You whip out your cell phone to show and compare pictures of your furry babies to all around!! This is what Sherry Ramsey and I did during Beth's lunch last Friday! We shared stories of our precious ones and giggled about the ways in which we spoil them. Sherry is such a down-to-earth, warm and caring lady!! No wonder Grant loves her madly!

Episode # 15762 Autographed Script to be auctioned to benefit Riverview Nursery School

During Beth Chamberlin's Luncheon on Friday October 9, 2009 Beth auctioned two autographed Final Guiding Light scripts from Episode #15762 which aired 9/18/09. The proceeds from that auction benefited charity. Two very lucky fans now have a very special momento from the longest running show in Television History.

I think that 60 Minutes did an outstanding job on tonight's tribute to Guiding Light! In fact, it was much, much better than what aired on this morning's CBS Sunday Morning show. Beth looked radiant, as always. What a joy to hear Tina, Ron, Grant, Michael and Peter reminisce about past storylines and characters, too. laura
