Dear Friends,
We all got very sad and shocking news on Wednesday, April 1st. GL's cancellation has filled me with
a range of emotions. At times, I feel sadness and depression that this drama is in its final chapter, that the GL
family is being broken up. At other times, I feel gratitude that I got to be a part of this show at all.
I got to be on a show that is in many families, a tradition. I got to meet wonderful people, both those working on the
show and those who have viewed the show. Thank you to all of you who have let me into your lives, all of you who have
loyally watched the show, loyally cheered me and the show on when times were good and when times were not.
I am still trying to process this. I know I will feel many different emotions in the coming months. However, one thing I know is this: All of us, whether we worked on the show or watched the
show were a part of history. No one can take that from us. "Guiding
Light" is and will always remain the longest running drama in history. All of us should be proud that we, each in
our own small way, contributed to this historic event. We were there; we were a part of it.
I know there are sites out there where one can find information about signing petitions and letting your feelings be heard.
I encourage you to be involved. Who knows, it may result in GL finding a new home. I feel that it is very possible this could happen. At the very least, it may make you feel
that you tried to save this show.
I hope you will all continue to watch until the end. This is, as I said, the final chapter in a great
epic. Don't put the book down now.

I know the
show hit a rough patch, but lately it has been much, much better. Rest assured that most of us will watch until the last credits roll.
